Child Find

Toledo School for the Arts has been given the responsibility by both federal and state laws to locate, evaluate, and identify children with disabilities including children with disabilities who are homeless or are wards of the state, and children with disabilities attending nonpublic schools, regardless of the severity of their disability, residing within the district. Parents, relatives and community members are asked to assist us with finding any child who may have a disability. Children ages birth through twenty-one who may be in need of special education and related services in the areas of speech and language, vision, hearing, emotional/social, orthopedic and/or cognitive development are to be identified, located and evaluated as required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, as amended by the IDEA of 2004 including the federal regulations at 34 C.F.R.300.11 and 300.646.

If you know of any child residing in our District who you suspect may have a disability, please contact our Student Services Coordinator, Carol Kutcher: ckutcher@ts4arts.org
