Our family could not ask for a better learning environment than TSA for our three children to grow artistically, intellectually, and personally.  Teachers and staff are not only dedicated to educating the students, but they care sincerely as well. Staff and teachers reach out on their own time whether it be to help a student through a difficult family time, or to inform of an opportunity for their talents and coach them through the process to success.   Parts of the fabric of the TSA experience are outreach events that connect students to the community, and out-of-state travels to give students experience with the larger world.  This past spring, the TSA orchestra was invited to perform at Disney World, and spent nearly a week performing, working with Disney studio professionals, and having an amazing experience at the Disney parks.   Extracurricular programs at TSA are typically open to all students no matter what their major art concentration.  Our children focus on music, but all three have immensely enjoyed participating in theatre and musical productions.  TSA’s academic rigor is on par with the best performing schools in the region.  Test scores, educational awards to TSA and TSA’s excellent quiz bowl team record speak for themselves. This year our oldest, Skyelar, just graduated TSA.  Skyelar will attend the University of Michigan this fall, where he will double major in Organ Performance and Linguistics. We are sure that Skyelar’s high school years at TSA helped his acceptance and preparation for this university experience that he looks forward to beginning.  For the past five years TSA has been a home where our children have felt comfortable to be themselves, which is so crucial to the development of confidence, ability and character in young adults.  Thank you Toledo School for the Arts!
