When should I send a helpdesk ticket?

Please send a helpdesk ticket ( anytime you have a technology issue.  Please send us the ticket first.  If you want the teacher to be informed also, put their name in the CC box.  Teachers trying to help by sending in tickets on behalf of the student can cause confusion and tickets get overlooked.  Helpdesk tickets can be sent from any email address.

My email app is not working.

You can access your email from the web.  You can go to the TSA website ( and click the “For Students” tab and click the mail icon.  Or you can go to: and get logged in.

My Schoology app won’t let me log in.

You can access Schoology account on the web.  Go to: and click “Log In” in the top right corner.  Use your full email address ( and password.


You can access the student schoology page from the student tab of the web page.  Here you can login using your username (no and password.

What should I do if my iPad to “frozen”?

After a few minutes, if the iPad is non-responsive, you can hold down the Home button and the power button until the screen goes black.  You can let go of the Home button and continue to hold the power button until you see the Apple logo.

How can I check that my Notability files are being backed up?

You can tap the gear at the bottom left corner of the screen.  Tap “iCloud” and check that the switch is blue.

How can I check that I am logged into my TSA Apple ID?

These were setup over the summer.  Unless you changed it, it should be set.  If you are not sure, you can go to the Settings menu.  The top tab on the left sidebar is for your Apple ID.  If you click on it, you will see your Apple ID under your name on the right side.  It should be:  It is important to make sure this is set properly.  We cannot help recover files that aren’t on your Apple ID account.

My notes in Notability have circles spinning over them and are taking a long time to open.

If you are running low on freespace, it can cause Notability to slow down.  You can go to Settings, General, iPad storage.  At the top, it will tell you how much freespace you have available.  You should keep about 2GB available for everything to work well.  If you have less than 2GB, you need to delete some things.  Usually, the best place to delete things is Photos.  Video files take up the most space generally.
