TSA Parents’ Organization!

Typically some 200 parents of students at Toledo School for the Arts belong to the Parents’ Organization. We support the school through volunteering, serving as a voice for parents, and fundraising. Being involved lets us get to know other TSA families and faculty and staff. Our involvement gives us a better understanding of our children’s day-to-day life at school—and it helps keep the school strong.

  • Classroom projects
  • Special events
  • Performances
  • Coordinating car pools
  • Field trips
  • Prom

As a result of working together, we form friendships and foster a sense of community at the school. Even if you cannot attend meetings, opportunities for involvement exist to fit every schedule.

Joining the TSA Parent Organization is a great way to encourage student success.

Members of the TSA Parent Organization meet in the Student Lounge, which they helped furnish and pay for.

Some things Parent Org has helped with or funded completely:
Power of the Pen
Microwaves for the cafeteria
Senior graduation signs
Staff appreciation luncheon
Staff appreciation gifts
TSA endowment fund
After-prom event
Restoration of the school garden
Refreshments for events such as open house, college night, etc.
Student travel to arts events
Instrument repair
Guest conductors and speakers

We welcome your involvement!
We meet at the school, third Tuesday of the month, 6 p.m. in the Student Commons (enter at back door, immediate right).
Find us on the school website, Join our Facebook group; we are listed as Toledo School for the Arts Parents Organization. Contact our current president, Amy Sopher at 419-481-7563 or

Practically free! Our $20 member dues can be used to pay for school performances. Families that attend performances of their student and their student’s friends find that our dues are NOT an additional expense. In fact, many families end up saving money on performances.
