HOW DO I PURCHASE KALEIDOSCOPE TICKETS?

Tickets are no longer available through the TSA Box Office. Please contact the Valentine Theatre directly at 419-242-2787 or by visiting their website.
All tickets purchased through The Valentine Theatre are subject to a per ticket service fee.
WHAT IS KALEIDOSCOPE?
Kaleidoscope is a year-end variety show featuring over 300 of TSA’s best and brightest performers and artists. Because this event is so large and complicated there is a special schedule for school the week of May 7-12.

WHERE IS KALEIDOSCOPE?

HOW ARE STUDENTS TRANSPORTED TO AND FROM REHEARSALS?
Walks are organized for the daily trips to and from the rehearsal site. All walks will be chaperoned by faculty, staff or assigned parent volunteers.
All students will be required to report to TSA and to park in the school lot. All participants will be expected to walk to The Valentine Theatre unless dropped off by their parents for rehearsals outside of normal school hours.

School will run 8:05am-11:15am, Periods 1, 2 & 3
11:15am: Students who are not participating in Kaleidoscope OR the rehearsal on Tuesday are released. Please arrange for appropriate transportation.
11:15-11:45am: Lunch in the Flying Pig for those Kaleidoscope students rehearsing on Tuesday.
11:45am – 2:30pm: Rehearsal at Valentine Theater and select rehearsals at TSA arranged by studio teachers. Rehearsal schedule will be available on our website at ts4arts.org.
3:30-6:30pm: Rehearsal at Valentine Theater. Rehearsal schedule will be available on our website at ts4arts.org.

Thursday:
Students who are not participating in Kaleidoscope DO NOT REPORT to school. Enjoy your day off!
Those students who are participating in Kaleidoscope will follow the schedule below:
All students participating in Kaleidoscope report to TSA at 8:00am
8:15am-12pm: Students travel to Valentine Theatre for rehearsal of Act 1
Students who are not in Act 1 will have various supervised activities provided to them at TSA.
11:00: Lunch served in the Flying Pig Café.
11:30: Lunch served in the Flying Pig Café. Students who are only in Act 1 return to TSA for lunch.
11:30: Students who are in Act 2 travel to the Valentine Theatre for rehearsal of Act 2.
11:30-3:00pm: Students travel to Valentine Theatre for rehearsal of Act 2.
Students who are not in Act2 will have various supervised activities provided to them at TSA.
3:00: Students are released from TSA ONLY. No pickups at the Valentine allowed.
Friday:
Student Dress Rehearsal. All students will attend school and the dress rehearsal.
All students should report to their first period class at the normal time.
8:15am: Performers and crew released to the Valentine Theatre
8:45am: Audience released to the Valentine Theatre
1:00pm: All Students and Faculty released from TSA for the end of the day. A sack lunch will be made available to those students who want or need one.
HOW ARE MEDICAL ISSUES OR ILLNESSES HANDLED?
A staff member trained as a First Responder will be at the rehearsal site each day. Medical Forms are kept at the rehearsal site for emergencies.
IS MY STUDENT REQUIRED TO STAY AT TSA IF THEY ARE IN KALEIDOSCOPE BUT NOT REHEARSING THAT DAY?
If your students is not rehearsing AT ALL that day, they are released at the end of the school day. See the daily schedule for details.
If your student is rehearsing that day, but in the later time slot (3:30-6:30pm T-W), they may be released at 11:15am WITH PARENTAL PERMISSION FORM available at TSA. Please note: Student drivers must have that permission in writing before they will be allowed to leave school premises. It is then the student/parent responsibility to get the performer to their rehearsal by the start of call.
On Thursday, ALL KALEIDOSCOPE performers and crew must report to TSA by 8am and plan on being either at school or the Valentine all day long until the 3pm release time.
WHEN IS DRESS REHEARSAL?
Dress rehearsal takes place during school hours on Friday, May 11, 2017. Students scheduled to perform must attend all performances.
MEALS DURING REHEARSAL TIMES
For those students rehearsing at the Valentine Theatre for both rehearsal blocks, there will be adult supervision as they are permitted to purchase meals at nearby establishments. They are also encouraged to pack a lunch.
A bagged lunch can be provided through the Flying Pig Café for any student who requests one ahead of time.
STUDENT PARKING DURING SCHOOL HOURS
Students should report to and park at TSA. They will be escorted to the Valentine Theatre walking in groups. If your student is attending a late rehearsal on Tuesday or Wednesday and they choose to park downtown, parking is NOT FREE until 5:00pm.
WHEN DO I DROP OFF/PICK UP MY CHILD FOR THE EVENING SHOW AT THE VALENTINE?
Student call (or report time) is one hour prior to the show.
Friday, May 11 drop off at 6:00pm
Saturday, May 12 Drop off at 6:00pm
Please arrange to pick up your students approximately 3 1/2 hours after the drop off time.
PLEASE NOTE:
There is only a limited amount of street parking available. The lot located across the street from the Valentine costs $10 to park and you must use cash.
