This past Wednesday, three students (left to right: Ren Cottrell, Sean Spino, and Simon Baehr) received their Shodan certificates (first degree black belt). All three students have worked diligently to achieve this level, and I could not be prouder of them!

TSA students, Sydney Pfeiffer (left) and Marcus Beck (right), competed in the USA National Karatedo Federation Championships and Team Trials in Greenville, SC last July 20 – 24. This organization is the US Olympic Committee’s National Governing Body for sport karate. Sydney won two silver medals and a bronze in the three events that she entered. Marcus won a silver and a bronze medal in his two events. Both students are part of TSA’s martial arts program.
