Kaleidoscope is a year-end variety show featuring over 300 of TSA’s best and brightest performers and artists.

Students have a special week of rehearsals May 8th – 12th. Students who do not participate in Kaleidoscope will be excused from school early on those days. Please check the schedule below.
Walks are organized for the daily trips to and from the rehearsal site. All walks will be chaperoned by faculty, staff or assigned parent volunteers. All students will be required to report to TSA and to park in the school lot. All participants will be expected to walk to The Valentine Theatre unless dropped off by their parents for rehearsals outside of normal school hours.
8:05 – 3:00 with a PM Activity Schedule
Tuesday and Wednesday
8:05 – 11:15am (periods 1, 2 & 3 on Tue/periods 4, 5 & 6 on Wed)
11:15am Students who are not participating in Kaleidoscope OR the rehearsal on Tuesday and/or Wednesday are released at 11:15. Please arrange for appropriate transportation.
11:15am Lunch will be offered in the Flying Pig for Kaleidoscope students rehearsing on Tuesday or Wednesday.
11:45am – 2:30pm Rehearsal at Valentine Theater and select rehearsals at TSA arranged by studio teachers (TBA).
3:30-6:30pm Rehearsal at Valentine Theater (students MAY be dropped off and picked up directly from the theater).
Students who are not participating in Kaleidoscope DO NOT REPORT to school Thursday. Enjoy your day off!
Those students who are participating in Kaleidoscope will follow the schedule below:
Report to TSA at the normal time and report to assigned room (TBD) for attendance 8:15am-12pm Students walk with supervision to Valentine Theatre for rehearsal of Act 1.
Students who are not in Act 1 will have various supervised activities provided to them at TSA.
Approximately 11:30 and again at 12:15 Lunch will be offered in the Flying Pig Café.
12:00-3:00pm: Students walk with supervision to Valentine Theatre for rehearsal of Act 2. Students will be walked back to TSA for pick up by 3:00pm.
Students who are not in Act 2 will have various supervised activities provided to them at TSA.
The order of the show is still being determined. If you need to know which Act your student is in, ask the studio teachers.
Ticketed Dress Rehearsal – Student performance ($3 per student will be collected by Wednesday May 10th) All students should report to their first period class at the normal time.
8:15am: Performers and crew released to the Valentine Theatre and will be escorted by adults
8:45am: Audience released to the Valentine Theatre with their teachers and staff
All Students and Faculty released from TSA for the end of the day at 1pm. Lunch will not be provided unless the student requests a sack lunch by Wednesday of that week. They can pick it up at the dock as they dismiss.
A staff member trained as a First Responder will be at the rehearsal site each day. Medical Forms are kept at the rehearsal site for emergencies.
If your student is not rehearsing AT ALL Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday they are released at the end of the school day (11:15 on Tuesday and Wednesday, and no school on Thursday). Studio teachers may call a rehearsal and they will inform their students. If your student is rehearsing that day, but in the later time slot only (3:30-6:30pm T-W), they may be picked up at 11:15am by a parent/guardian. Please note: Student drivers must have permission from parent/guardian in writing before they will be allowed to leave school premises. It is then the student/parent responsibility to get the performer to their rehearsal by the start of call. On Thursday, ALL KALEIDOSCOPE performers and crew must report to TSA by 8am and plan on being either at school or the Valentine all day long until the 3pm release time.
Dress rehearsal takes place during school hours on Friday, May 12, 2017. Students scheduled to perform must attend all performances.
Students MUST attend the morning classes on Tuesday and Wednesday to attend the rehearsal. Students MUST participate in the Dress Rehearsal to participate in Kaleidoscope. If your child is sick, please call in as usual to the school.
For those students rehearsing at the Valentine Theatre for both rehearsal blocks, there will be adult supervision as they are permitted to purchase meals at nearby establishments. They are also encouraged to pack a lunch because their time is limited. A bagged lunch can be provided through the Flying Pig Café for any student who requests one ahead of time. Students will be charged the normal school lunch price for these bag lunches. A process to gather this info will be established.
Please call or stop in the school office to sign out your student. The receptionist can inform you where your student is at that time. You may then pick up your student from the stage door entrance at the Valentine.

Please arrange to pick up your students by 9:45pm, unless otherwise directed. PLEASE NOTE: There is only a limited amount of street parking available. The lot located across the street from the Valentine costs $10 to park and you must use cash.
